This is a game changer. Yahoo will have to step up its game. Sure everything syncs when tethered, but wirelessly is a game changer.

I returned to blackberry from a several month absence YESTERDAY, and one of the main reasons I switched back was google sync for calendar. This is great news!

Be cautious...I've seen a couple posts from folks saying it deleted their contacts.

Thumbs up

So far so good... No problem... But, here is what I've done

1. Export Outlook contacts to CSV
2. Import CSV in Google
3. Check each contact to see if it has all the infos
4. Backup then delete all Outlook contacts
5. Sync BB with Outlook so all contacts are deleted on the BB itself
6. Install Google Sync and do a Sync

Everything is fine right now.

WAY TO GO GOOGLE !!

Highly suggest a backup prior to running the first Address Book Sync.

I have been integrating the Google apps into my work for a short time now, especially Google calendar and I really like it.

I do not see anywhere in the documentation that talks about Outlook integration with Gmail contacts. This is simply Gmail contacts to BB.

On the calendar end they have two seperate syncs- Google to BB and Google to Outlook. The GMail contacts to outlook contact sync is not there so you are playing with this at your own risk, as I see it, until they release a Gmail contacts to Oulook sync, specifically.

My 2 Cents....

Updated google calender sync to this version today. First sync took forever due to the massive amount of contacts that needed to be transferred. Make sure you do a backup before your first sync if you are worried about the device freezing up.

Yes, it syncs your Blackberry and Gmail contacts together.
Always good idea to backup first, just in case something goes wrong.

Extremely slow - sync fails, stalls or otherwise rolls over and stops every time so far.
