Every time I get a voice mail, I receive a text message from AT&T with the following content:

allntxacds10.attwireless.net:5400?f=0&v=420&m=#### #####&p=&S=D&s=5433&t=4:##########:A:IndyAP26:ms16 :client:30421

the ########## is my cell number.

I've even gone into the "manage features" section of the AT&T website and removed the feature from my account, then went back in and added it again.

Does anyone have the same issue as I do?

Thanks,
SteveO

The message alert is annoying. Now for every voicemail you have to go into VVM and Messages to get rid of the notifications.

I can't help with the notification but I hid the VVM icon and just view them from the messages folder. I combine all my email, texts etc into one folder. Some people don't like that but having VVM there now is not a problem for me as that is what I would want if given the option anyway.

I don't know why the VVM is not listed as a seperate item like BBM text, facebook etc. Then you could have a tone or whatever you want as notification. Seems like that is basic and I don't know why they did it this way.

I added this feature to my account a moment ago. Seems to take a few minutes to get the voicemail to show on the BOLD, no?

I guess it has to find the device and then download it.

Nonetheless, johnfromphilly has a good point about having is show in the messages folder. I have all my emails etc in one place. So it's rather convenient...

he probably updated to the SECOND os release ATT put out to support VVM that fixed the error the first one caused. If you are still getting this error, try updating your OS that second time.

Default Does VVM replace Basic Voicemail

I re-activated my Bold after dropping and breaking my 8900. My question is, does the VVM feature replace the regular or basic voicemail feature?
I called ATT this morning and got the VVM feature provisioned. It works, however I cannot dial into my voicemail mailbox any more, neither by pressing the 1 speed dial, or by selecting dial voicemail from within the VVM app...This is by design according to the CSR, supposedly Basic Voicemail and VVM features cannot co-exist on the account.
Anyone having the same issue? It seems hard to believe that in case of a data outage or in case you choose not to data roam internationally that you will have no access to your voice messages...
