Sadly I don't know what model it is, my boyfriend has it right now and he insists i post now instead of waiting until he gets home, since he says it's a media player issue and therefore not model specific.

Anyway, I can only say what the problem is: Whenever he pauses on an audio file, there's a large chance when he unpauses it, it'll be at an earlier point. It's almost entirely uniform too, so it's not like he's nudging the mouse wheel or something either. It's always a good chunk back from where he paused, and he doesnt like having to readjust it every time he unpauses.

Any idea what's going on or how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Check that he has the latest OS Version on his phone. The version can usually be found at Options>About.

Navigate to the correct device specific forum on this board and in the 'Attention' section the latest OS will be listed along with instructions on how to update.

Another piece of advice; it may be worth defragmenting his Media Card in Windows to ensure that the data is organised as this may cause this kind of issue.
