My problem is that my phone will not take a charge from a non-Blackberry USB voltage source. So if I plug my blackberry 9900 into one of the USB outlets in a car or a USB cigarette lighter device, my phone will not charge. Though it will charge just fine from a computer USB or the stock AC adapter from RIM that came with the phone. I am beginning to think that this is normal but would like to know if there's a simple solution.

Do you have access to another battery that you can try in your device to rule out that it's not defective.
