I've noticed my 9650 get down to 30% battery by the end of business - 11hrs off-charge. Today I turned off the bluetooth (only needed in the car) and it was up to 45%

I was told by Sprint lev 2 support that the constant antenna searching is the cause of poor battery life, this 9650 cant get 2-33bars on a clear day where my 8330 had 5bars,. . I hear there is a software patch to correct this. . anyone have details on this rumor ?

I have never noticed bad battery life on my Tour, I usually go two days without having to plug in. I recently jumped ship and tried a Droid X and the battery on that thing was crazy, getting 16 hours was lucky on minimal to no use. Needless to say I took that back, and was looking at getting 9650 but don't want to go from one bad battery phone to another.

Not sure why some have so many battery problems, wondering if they might be in and out of poor reception zones. I used my Bold 9650 for phone calls, e-mail, texting and a lot of time reading Twitter (use UberTwitter which runs in the background), still had 50% battery. Used it from about 5:45 am to 11:20 pm. No real problem with the battery for me. YMMV.
BTW, I think the Bold 9650 is a great phone.

Battery on 9650 is greater because of the wifi. I notice. Less fighting for signals.

Thumbs up

I have had my bold for 3 days now. I charged it completely before I used it and I have moderate to heavy usage each day and I am still on 50% battery. Lasts as long if not longer than my Tour. I have WIFI off and bluetooth on all the time. I am very satisfied with the Bold, it is great!

Have a great day,
Normandie

I find I get better battery life on my 9650 if I leave WiFi on all the time; and it only has a profile saved for while I am at home.
