Angry Not happy but not suprised (Sprint shipping dates)

I just spoke to a Sprint rep on the phone to get a status on my order.
I was told that the first units were not going to ship out for at least 5 business days.

So, as others suggested, Sprint must have just moved up the order-taking date but actual devices in the hands of users won't be until the 20th at the earliest.

Sprint just sucks.

The guy at Verizon told me that the Tour shipments started arriving a week prior to their release date (7/12). They didn't give me an exact number, but the store I went to had been open for almost 2 hours by the time I got there, and every rep was selling a Tour, so they had plenty to go around.

Sprint probably wrote RIM a bad check or their credit card was declined, and that's why they are so late getting them.

I ordered my phone on at 12:08AM on Sunday and I will have it on Tuesday by 3:pm by Fedex and the shipping for me was free. I would call Sprint and tell them that Verizon is sending them over-nite why can't they? They should give you a credit or something for making you wait that long.

I just got off the phone with sprint. they told me phones are coming into the warehouse and being sent out daily but due to the high demand everyone is showing back order until it ships out which could be 5-8 Business days. for now i saw they put a credit for the amount i spent on the phone to my account. So hopefully i get my soon but it definitely will be before the 20th

I ordered today around 11:00 AM at a local Sprint store and it was "confirmed" that it would be in the store tomorrow by 1:00 PM. Of course things could change by tomorrow, but as of right now it's looking like a next-day deal for me.

I hope others don't get too upset to hear this, but we have a corporate account at my law firm (I am an attorney) and I had my office IT manager call our Sprint rep. I will have my phone here in Seattle tomorrow (my office manager called today).

I won't even go into how much of a deal I got on this phone, or it will cause a meltdown.

Sprint treats its business customers very well on things like this.

i ordered my tour from VZW midnight of the release date. i wll get it tuesday as well but i wish i would come today!!!! this is killing me! it is in transit and i called fedex so i could just drive a couple hours to the ware house and poick it up but they woint allow me to do this. so i guess i gotta wait till 4:30p at the latest tomorrow :(

This is such BS why couldn't they just have it in stores like any normal phone company. everything with sprint is like pulling teeth. i ordered mine at 6am online Sunday morning but i cant get any confirmations on when ill get it and im leaving town this week im annoyed.

I got a confirm email last night from Sprint that my Tour had shipped. It should be in the local store today by 1:00 PM, just like my rep said.

Via the tracking number I see it was loaded onto a truck for delivery at 7:15 AM, and only has to go one town over from the UPS center.

I ordered my Tour from Sprint on Sunday afternoon (around 4:30pm) and I was told they were back ordered. I received an email last night saying it has shipped and it is now due to arrive tomorrow (sent 2 Day AIR via UPS). So far, I am pleasantly surprised.

Mine was waiting for me at the Sprint Store, just as promised. Another buyer came in and asked about the Tour, ordering delays, etc, and was told that if he orders it by 4:00 PM today he'll have it tomorrow with the day's first UPS delivery.

Interestingly (or maybe not), while waiting for the rep to get me my package he was dealing with another BlackBerry customer. The guy's search function wasn't finding his old emails and it was baffling everyone. Being the good geek that I am, and seeing how the rep didn't have an answer, I asked if the user had updated anything recently. Yes, in fact he had. So I checked his email setting for how long his BB was set to keep emails. Only 30 days (the default setting) as it turns out. I showed him this, explained how his device was not failing to find older items, it was actually deleting them. I set it to keep items forever and he was a happy camper again. It doesn't get his old emails back, but they're still on his home pc at least, and the mystery of the incomplete search results is solved.

i ordered mine at 7am EST on Sunday morning and still havent received anything... I am so pissed off at them i feel like calling in to cancel my service...

I ordered one Sat. night and I received it today. I ordered another one Sunday morning and it will be here on Thursday. So one was sent overnight UPS and the other was sent 3 day select UPS. I didn't state a choice either time when ordering though. Very pleased with Sprint so far.

Well thats what i was thinking I am in NYC i wonder if anyone else had that issue here.
Update: after speaking to sprint and getting a supervisor to personally oversee my case. it yielded no real results. however i did finally get my tracking # the beauty of the situation... IM IN CHICAGO for a week now and then headed to Ukraine i might not even make it back to NYC to get the phone and no one is home to sign for it... its too late to call UPS and see if they can divert the package here. by the time i got the tracking info it was 1am...

idk its been a big headache honestly i hope its worth it...
