Out in boston today, not sure if it's the existing problem or due to the current ice/snow storm

I've had no issues with UMA since the 12th. I've even connected to a couple of public wifi's and UMA has come right up.

eric, you aren't THE eric the bike man here in the cities are you? I know it's off topic but I was asking myself that the past few times I've seen your name.

UMA has been working well here today, yesterday was hit or miss and worse in the evening, but good today.

Cool UMA Outage

I just returned from Shanghai China - there 4 weeks. UMA worked for the first 2 and then did not the last 2. Home in Minnesota and UMA does not work. I heard it is connected to the server problems in the Northwest - i.e. floods.

Also - have a mobile phone store in area. We are having lots of problems with the in store T-Mobile hotspot. Drops calls, sometimes does not connect all. BB Curve phones are more problamatic than others in the store. T-Mobile tech support is not much help.

We are waiting for answers from T Mobile.

I think I am going to restart it quick here....
Just saw this post, but I've seen the same thing on my 8320. It shows EDGE and by the time I get into the Wi-Fi Diagnostics it shows UMA connected. When I exit back to the main screen it shows UMA.

I've often wondered if I just wasn't seeing an instance of where the icon on the main screen was not updating correctly.

Does anyone have any objections to closing this thread? I believe this outage has been resolved. Anyone STILL having problems that are likely related to this and not their own router or isp?

This thread was immensely helpful, but I too feel that it's been resolved... T-Mo also fired up a fresh new tower about 1/2 mi. from my house so I'm a much happier camper!

Still working great here at home. Everyone I've spoken to we've been able to get back up and running just fine for the most part.

Yep, still rock solid for me everywhere. I think it's better than it was before the problems.

Thread closed. Let the thread fall into the depths of the forums. (let's hope that's the last of UMA problems for a while! )
