Hi. I just bought the pearl and the manual said nothing about making your calls private or blocking your number.

Press the green phone button. Press the menu key (left of trackball.) Select Options. Select General Options. Scroll down to "Restrict My Identity." Change it to "Always."

disabling the outgoing caller id will cause issues when you call into your voicemail, just to give you a heads up. you can still access your voicemail, but there are a couple more hoops to jump through.

as an alternative, you can use *67 before each number you dial to hide the caller id just for that number.
