Default T-Zones hell / dumb question

Please Login to Remove!

I'm sure I should know this. I've had an 8320 since Thanksgiving and I use it with T-mobile pre-paid service. I use Wi-Fi only for internet browsing, not phone calls. I have no frills / apps added to this device.

So I had to re-install the OS a couple times but I thought for sure I checked that everything was working again after the last time. 99.99% sure I used the internet ok recently.

Now today when I click the Internet icon, I get this T-Zones browser which I've never seen before. When I use the Menu to try and "go to" and type something like Google, it comes back this T-Zones thing.

How do a get browser that does something working on this thing? I was having no problem playing YouTube videos and stuff before.

Thanks,
-Ron

You need to use the hotspot browser. There should be an icon for it

Yeah, that's what I thought. So I go to Options and find browser. There are 2 choices: T-Zones and HotSpot, I hit HotSpot and save.

When I click the globe-looking internet icon, I get this T-Zones beast.

OK, now it says "Your plan does not support this feature."

I never had a plan that supported any feature. ?

Thanks,
-Ron

OK, under Set-up WiFi, I found "Wi-Fi hotspot login"

I never had to use this in the past. I mean it says I'm connected to my home router, how many ways do you haveto tell this thing to connect?

Anyway, doing this "Wi-Fi hotspot login" item got me immediately to a proper internet session.

How do I avoid ever seeing T-Zones again? What could have made it want to start using that? I was at the library today and I did a "scan for networks to see if I could check e-mail. It found only a private wi-fi for which I didn't know the key. Could this have unleashed T-Zones?

Thanks,
-Ron

I'm not sure what your actually asking.... But I know that sometimes tzones/wifi is just stupid sometimes. Haven't had issues with it on my bold yet tho.

But the "tzones" at most of their locations are now "attzones" and work great. And the best part is... With a bold or att as a home internet, you get free access
