What does eBay have to do with your battery?

Do this if your BB won't turn on:

Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the USB cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage).

If it doesn't boot--try using a wall outlet charger if you are not. If you are connected via USB to the PC, make certain that you have Desktop Manager (or the USB device drivers) installed, which you can download below.

Make certain your USB cable is connected to one of the PC's main rear USB ports. Not a USB hub, nor a monitor USB port, nor a USB port on the front of the PC.

Download Desktop Manager from here:

You can't post back the results UNTIL you have followed the instructions which as I read would be 2-3 hours from now.

See you then.

I would FIRST recommend using a wall outlet charger.

Is that the plug charger you mention?

An indicator light just might NOT come on for several hours until it has charged enough.

If the battery is that dead, it could be 2-3 hours, or 4-5.

Remember one thing, the 7520 BB is very old, in terms of BlackBerrys. It is about five generations back. The device in your hand could have been sitting on a shelf for a year or more untouched. Don't expect to dance for you in the first five minutes.

Good luck.

got it on ebay,
you dont know its history,
if you can find someone who uses the same battery, see if you can swap batteries to see if it helps,

note on batteries
learned from recent battery problems
1/2 life of batteries is 2.5 yrs under optimum recharging
if not recharged as per recomendations that can drop drastically
as per tech support, battery should be charged with phone off and only when low, he defined low as about 20% or so.
what i was doing charging the phone every night, in the car, and in the office regardless of level, killed my battery in 1 year.

Is that just for that generation of battery? I heard the new batteries for the Curve 8320 love to be charged here and there and to never let it die and then recharge.

^^Those comments do not apply to the current Li-Ion type of batteries.

Please search in the Aftermarket Software forum for Opera information, or post a new thread in that section. Where possible, we try to keep threads about one issue, so that future searches of the board are more accurate.
