Default Final thoughts:

I was a sidekick user from 2002 to 2/2007. I ended up to switch from KICK to RIM.

I saw the sidekick LX release, I am like don't again and know sklx is nothing and boring..

What inside the sidekick LX doesn't have and can't ?:

1. video capture

2. video playback

3. Myspace IM

4. ICQ IM

5. Google Talk IM

6. Sidekick PIN

7. Google Maps

8. GPS

9. wifi

10. Ethern modem

11. Gmail

12. Deveolp apps

the sidekick LX is little a bit improve from sidekick 3. But all sidekick's feature and keyboards are same since B/W SK released on 2002.. Yawn..

The future looks bright for BlackBerry, and I can’t wait to see where we’ll go.

To the poster above, I don't think the Curve is capable of video capture, but it is capable of video playback.

Nonetheless, to the original poster, I'm glad you made the change. I was a previous Sidekick 3 owner. Once I upgraded to the Curve I felt I could do more with it than the Sidekick 3. Other than the usual internet browsing and IM's, I feel the Curve is more versatile as you can add more to it than the Sidekick.

Enjoy! I definitely am enjoying my Curve.

Welcome. New 8310 owner as well. Google maps does work. I've heard if you download BBMaps it will work although it's not pre-loaded. FWIW, I have been using MSN live search beta and it is amazing. Much better than either application IMHO.

Hi everyone, I also just entered the world of BB and i love my 8320. I'm not subscribed to the data plan so it's wifi is really a big plus.
the only thing i dun really like is how costly the accessories tend to be compared to the more commonly available brands.
hey but i do agree that BB has a bright future, it's hard to explain it but i'm sure everyone who has one can agree on that!

My dear, the BB accessories are the cheapest in market. I bought mine from Amazon.com
Go there and check for yourself.

For BBMaps, try this link or do a Google search:

BlackBerry - BlackBerry Maps

For Google Maps, try this link (or go to the Google site):

Mobile

The downloads are OTA (over the air), so you go to these links via your BB browser or other browser and download them directly. You can also download via BB desktop software, but this is the easiest way.
