I own a BlackBerry 7750 and a 950

The 7750 has been great, with the exception of this whole MDS/MDG thing :(

I own a 7210, and am waiting on a 7280 to be shipped to me from eBay.
Love the 7210, but it lacks the 850 band which I need for ATT.

I am currently running a 7750 but I have used a 957, 6210, 7510 and a 7230.

The 7750 has the better screen but the speed is very slow and it uses a lot of battery. Unfortunately, it is not RIMs fault...they use a processor that is provided by Qualcomm so they cannot do much about it.

Hmm, whats the processing speed on the unit? Why would RIM use a qualcomm processor? Was it part of the contract of using Qualcomm CDMA technology?

Pretty much...as far as I know..Qualcomm developed CDMA. I don't know anything about the contract side of things but RIM puts the processor in that Qualcomm provides.

I am curious on how much of the blackberry handhelds platform is similiar to a cell phone, and I wonder if anyone will ever get a chance to "hack it" and place a different operation system on the unit beside the blackberry software to see if its possible.

I have a 7510 from Nextel, I understand the new one is even nicer than the 7510, gps etc. I have heard it could be green like a sprite bottle or Red they would nick name it the Raspberry................... NEXTEL| DONE

Hi Folks,
I just stumbled on to the forum tonight! I'm a new Blackberry user, I have the 7730, and I really love it. I'm also a mac user, so I'm going to have to sync up using the Virtual PC thing, that is until Epicad comes out with their syncing software.

I own a 6210 which was my previous employers and they didn't get it back. I can't say anything negative about it and it does what I need. great unit with an awesome battery life. I'd like to upgade to the latest and greatest but don't want to drop 600+ for a new unit. Now if they integrated chat compatible services to connect to msn/yahoo/aol/icq I'd be willing to drop the $.... Or if I could get my grubby hands on a copy of the BES app.

Yea, BES tends to be the only major downside of Blackberrys (for the personal consumer). Hopefully OS 4.0 will change that.

Nextel 7510. I like the speaker phone the best, I can even set it on the center console in my car and the speaker phone works just great!

You mean hack the BlackBerry, put your own OS on it and get sued?
Good idea. No really, Good Technologies had that idea and they were sued by RIM. None too smart.

I highly doubt if I messed around with the blackberry OS, rim would care less, unless I was selling it.

I am using a Nextel 7510. My IPOD and it are my two favorite things.
I used a 6510 for a year before the 7510 came out. The difference between the 6510 and the 7510 is amazing. The 7510 has improved battery life, is much more intuitive, it's built better (feels more solid), rubber PTT button, color screen, and fantastic sounding speakerphone.
