Default Torch (9800) does not turn on after upgrading

Please Login to Remove!

I tried to upgrade my torch from the Desktop Manager, and after the normal reboot, it never turned back on.

I am now trying to reset it to factory settings, but all instructions I could find require the fonr to be on, which is not applicable to my situation.

Is there any way to wipe (or reset it) without having to torn it on?

Did you have it fully charged when you did this? Pull the battery and replace it after 3 to 4 minutes then while plugged into the charger see if it boots. if the battery is very low it may take a while to charge to a level that it will boot. If you have access to another battery, give it a try also.

Thanks tsac, I had checked that.

After some additional attempts, I could reset it by the Loader application, but now I get the battery sign with an red X on it. I did some research and it seems to be an issue with the battery "code" or "memory" - a new security feature in 9800.

Does anyone have a clue on how to fix that???
