With the media manager pluggin in Desktop Manager, you should be able to copy files to the 8700. But realize that there isn't a lot of memory there. Once you put the latest OS version on it and a few applications, you'll be doing trade-offs to decide which applications you really need and which you are going to have to do without because you don't have enough room.
