Well the only wish that I have is RIM to fix the loose slider on the torch. I think many of you would agree with this.

As noted in other threads:

Would also be nice if the Favorites folder had no bugs, like reorganizing icons order on its own, not keeping icons one wants in there, and including ones not wanted in there.

Time zone correction for tasks. Or option to ignore task "due time" and only look at "due date".

If your BES is in a different time zone than you are, you will know why the current setup is a problem. Outlook does not have a "due time" in tasks, just a "due date". BES defaults the time to 12:00 am in the timezone where the BES is located. My BES is in Eastern timezone, and I live in Pacific timezone (3 hours behind). As a result, if I have an Outlook task that has a due date of December 22nd, this task will show overdue on my BlackBerry starting at 9:00 PM on December 21st. Really annoying. Easy to fix by having the BB adjust the task to the timezone you are in. No need to change any BES software etc. BB Handset just compares BES timezone with YOUR timezone and adjusts. I have been asking for this since I got my first BlackBerry in 2007.

Although not limited to the Torch, it would be just awesome if it could be made available in a future 6.0 OS upgrade for one to be able to set several alarms within the Clock app, rather than only one and having to go 3 or 4 steps over via the Calendar app to set additional alarms. I realize that there are one or two third-party apps out there that reduces the steps to set multiple alarms, but it would easiest if say 5 could be made available within the stock Clock app, pretty please! ;)

Somehow, I doubt that a future "OS upgrade" (which is what this thread is about) can do anything about those issues.

How about adding the old ring tones back into the base OS files. That way we won't have to reload that file from the BlackBerry mobile site every time we do an OS reload, just to keep our old ring tones that are set in the profiles.

- user configurable touch panels (to choose which ones you want available or active). Current layout is way too sensitive, overcrowded, and easy to make a wrong selection
- ability to completely TURN OFF touch capability in favor of trackpad (for those of us who employ the "hurl it against the wall" methodology when it drives us over the edge). Guilty.
- messaging cursor that follows text window content instead of stranding it halfway underneath the virtual keyboard on occasion with long messages (ridiculous)
- audible clicks on virtual kybd (absurd that it doesn't have this)
- better solution for overly-sensitive lock button...since a firmer button would require a hardware solution, at least force a timeout before the button actuation actually enables, i.e. hold button for 3 secs to unlock, or whatever

Taking a break from the Torch for awhile. IP4 is a seriously perfected platform and that's where you'll find me for awhile

Wish I could delete the media, downloads and frequent folders and only keep favorite and all. I wish I could also set so that when I turn on my phone or use it its always starts on favorite folder instead of all.

And of course I wish they would repair the favorite folder. The icons are always changing around and the text message one disappear.

They also need to find a way to repair the lock screen option. Its useless now.

What about a smarter home screen with widgets or the like. HTC Sence on Android gives a very slick customizable home screen (multiple actually).

The pop away tray is nice, but that leaves a lot of dead space.

Also the lock situation needs to be sorted. I think a swipe or pattern unlock feature would be ideal. There is an application you can install called "Pattern Lock" which isn't too bad, but this really should be built in.

Virtual keyboard needs some work, audiable click/vibrate and improved layout is a must.

OS is still a bit slow too, or is it just that the phone is in need of a processor upgrade?? Often the phone jams up while it trys to catch up with what your trying to do, and the screen rotate is very slow to respond.

I think I'm just repeating what others have said but this is what I would like to see.

- Audible click/vibrate on virtual keyboard
- Fix disappearing icons in favourite folder
- Louder volume on speaker phone
- Calendar reminder longer than 1 week
- Add old ringtones into base OS

I miss my bicycle bell notification. Anyone know where I can get it?

OS 6.1 will let you do this, just have to wait a while for it.

Maybe this is added in in the .450 release, looking fwd to checking it out later...in any case:

On my 9000 there was the ability to move music files within a playlist in the stock media player -- this feature is apparently missing from Torch?!

Hopefully, please, this feature can be added in in a future OS upgrade?!
