Default Question about call settings?

Please Login to Remove!

Is there a way to set it up so that only certain numbers ring? I work at night and only want certain numbers to ring through during the day. Any help would be appreciated!

With a third party app call blocker, yes.

Look at iCallManager for one.

One thing I have thought about doing is making a ring tone with very quiet music or even silence.

Wirelessly posted (Scared of sea bunnies)

You could also switch to the quiet/silent profile and then add exceptions (so it'll ring) for those people you wish to be contacted by.

I did just this very thing - sort of.

I set up a custom profile, made everything silent (except for email notifications - I want to hear those), then checked the "Use Active Profile Except For: Important Calls" option, From there, highlighted that line, then clicked the menu button, clicked "Edit" and I added the contact names to the list I wanted, and made all of them use the "Normal" profile.

Now, only when someone calls that I want to hear from, it rings normally, but any other calls just go silent - the screen comes on with the number calling as it normally would, but no ringing or vibrating - it just eventually goes to voice-mail.
