Have a user on BES with a faulty 8830...Want to move him to one of my "spare" 8830's. Is there any easy way to capture all his email and installed apps on his faulty phone and transfer it to his new phone?

How faulty is it? I have always used the "switch device" feature of desktop manager. Works great for me.

usb/charging port is going bad...it is to a point i can barely get the charging sysmbol to come on but cannot get the computer to recognize as a usb device...any other way to use switch device application using a different connection than usb?

I think you could use blue tooth, but I've never done that myself. Can't recall if the 8830 has blue tooth

the bluetooth option in the desktop software is greyed out...plus i think verizon disables file transfer via bluetooth.....
