Good one to use. My bold has been on it for a week. Only 2 random restarts for unknown reasons. Quite happy with it. Thumb up!

Noticed two things with .130 (8900)
1. Pressing and holding the "a" key no longer calls my wife...it locks the device.
2. Pressing the back key while a video is playing drops it and reverts back to the video menu listing rather to the options to reverse, stop, or pause the video.

1. The 8900 did that also. They changed the function of the A and Q keys when 4.6 came out.

Anybody know about the OS 5 "Restrict to Certain Hours" feature in the "When Charging" section of the Clock application's Options? Should it restrict the BB's automatic entry into Bedside Mode when placed in a charger to the specified "Certain Hours" ?
I understand that, in spite of the "Restrict to Certain Hours" settings, 8900 BB enters bedside even outside of the specified "Certain Hours."

Installed it last night and so far so good...
Is there a trick to make Docs to Go work though, because when I load it, my Berry tells me that it's not compatible with the new os!

Look to see if you have more than one version of Docs to Go installed. I had the same error last week. It went away after I uninstalled the prior version.

Help!!!
I love this new OS and want to keep it, but I am on AT&T and lost my browser. I did the Browser Fix, but lost media.....then did the Media Fix, but after battery pull it breaks again. I still want to keep this OS and have decided to use Opera Mini for my browser. Here is the problem: When I go to the OTA download page for Opera Mini with Media Net it does not render correctly and I cannot click the download button. Does any one have any ideas on how i could get Opera Mini on my BOLD running 5.0? Thanks.

I found a new bug:
If you use the search function to locate some text in the Adress book, alway zero results are returned. Does work however for mail.

130 is a battery killer for me. anyone with the same experience?? first thought was google voice was the culprit, but removing it has not improved battery performance. other apps i run: viigo, google maps, slacker, bbm5, wall street journal mobile reader.
charge lasts no more than half the day, whereas i used to see 1.5 days on average with 4 .xx

Not for me. I have 1 to 2 days depending on the amount of voice calls.
However, I dot not have installed any background apps ( including how is the "******" today), but I use the browser all the day with 2G.
the .100 version was worse.

There has been a mixed reaction among the users.. I personally had a bad experience with .130.. so I reverted back to .100.. although I had to wipe my device and then reload .100.
However, battery life predominantly depends usage pattern and the applications installed..

Yes... I found more variability in battery life due to apps I used during the day than anything I could attribute to using any of 4.6.1.250, 5.0.0.100, or 5.0.0.130. Also -- the battery variability really doesn't make sense to me. Apps that I would have thought would be a bad drain on the battery aren't, and others that I thought be be no drain turned out to be bad. For example: I had to kill a couple of hours two days ago waiting for people, and I wound up using Viigo the entire time, reading dozens of article abstracts, downloading dozens of full articles and pictures, listening to podcasts, etc -- and there are incredibly little impact on my battery. However the last 3 times I went shopping and kept Maratick (a tiny simply list manager) open in the background, I found my battery severely drained after just an hour. I had the exact same experience with each of 4.6.1.250, 5.0.0.100 and 5.0.0.130 -- so for me, at least, the apps make more difference than any of these 3 OS versions.
In the end, as much as I like the new features in 5.x.x.x, I found both 100 and 130 far too buggy, and I had to go back to 4.6.1.250 for now. Looking forward to 5.0.0.140+ whenever a new version leaks...

With this release I have to run in 2G only mode to get my battery to last the entire day.

The same apps i've listed above now running on 4.6.x without battery issues. perhaps incompatibility of those apps with 5.0.x or issues within 5.0.x itself. I recognize it's BETA, but it took me while to recognize my work phone isn't ready for BETA yet.

I actually use pretty much every beta that comes along, on most platforms that I use as well as Blackberry. Most have some flaws, but 130 has to be the most problematic beta I've used yet, for any device. I'm not complaining, as we're not even supposed to have access to the betas unless we're beta testers - can't blame RIM for something not working when it's not even officially released. Just a bit disappointing that the version has some serious issues (like virtually unusable UMA for voice) that make it impractical to consider on a business Blackberry.

Does anyone on T-Mobile have issues with myFaves on their berries running on 5.0.0.100 or 5.0.0.130? I recently changed my plan and I m having a hard time setting up myFaves on my 8900. Does it have anything to do with the 5.0 OS?

OS 5.0.0.130 had problems with Browser, uses only WIFI. Also could not update documents to go. Went back to 4.6.1.250.
Anyone face the same problems? Waiting for new release. 5.0 looks cool with better icons and interface......
