Question Double Casing

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, I am new to these forums and new to the Blackberry 8700c. I found this Fortte case : http://www.fortte.com/scr/showcategory3.php/59#3

It's the open-face case. But what I would like to do is buy a blackberry specfic case to carry the device wrapped in the Fortte case. Is this possible? I have seen some mention of adding your own magnent. Is this a viable option?

Thanks in advance!

Kim

That one looks like the one I ordered by krussel.... The Krussel one won't be shipped until Feb14th or so.... I'm not too concerned about the magnet though cause I keep my BB in my pocket most of the time.

How much wider/taller is the 7290 from the 8700c? Could I purchase a top loading case for this device to be used with my 8700c?

That's probably not possible, and if it is it will look like a fanny pack! Seek out another option...

I like this case a lot - but my question is - does it have a plastic sheet over the screen or is the screen exposed?

Default Cases

All our cases at www.fortte.com are fully functional. It does not have a plastic to cover the screen.
All designs are worked in such a way that leave the keyboard & screen completely open.

Thank you. PRB

Well I ordered the Fortte open faced case, and a case with "smart recognition" for the 7290 from blackberrystuff.com. Specs seem to indicate that this might work...

I don't see how a 8700 inside the Fortte case would possibly fit inside any other case meant to hold a Blackberry alone. The case would probably need to be large enough to hold three Blackberries without a case on them to work.

You can put a screen protector film on top of the existing plastic screen cover built into the BlackBerry 8700. That should protect it well enough even from drops, and would look much better than clear plastic in a BlackBerry case.

I ordered Screen Protectors, but really, it has more to do with disliking fingerprints and scratches to the point that when I use a device with said markings, I find it hard to not obsess over them. The thing that i worry most about is dropping the 8700 and scratching the corners.

Many posts about this subject have a very feminine tone to them, very similar to a woman-like thing like breaking a nail or something else. The point is to not be such a girly-man about your precious little BlackBerry. Though it is quite funny, I am not embarrassed to say I am one of those people very concerned about my precious little BlackBerry!

....just look at the first post again. The signature is "kim" - a girl (I hope) Anthony was just replying to "kim" by saying "stick it in your purse"

Yes, I am a girl. And this weekend my BB fell out of its crappy OEM plastic holster, scratching both top corners. Hopefully my cases will cover the unsightliness.
