Does anyone know of software that let's you plug your Blackberry into a PC and go through menus and change settings via the desktop?

I am unaware of any software like this at this time. Last I heard that there was someone trying to develop this but I haven't heard anything since (this was atleast 4 months ago).

It's called Blackberry Enterprise Server -- this is what you want.. obviously, it's not meant for individuals..

but if your tech-savvy, and willing to run your own BES/exchange server.. why not?

Umm no, that's not what I'm asking at all.

there are several apps that allow you to project a BB device's screen onto a deskop and from there to projector, e.g. Idokorro have one and there's at least a couple more...

however I haven't come across any that allow you to conrol the BB - after all why would you want to?

What we are looking for is software that can be installed on a users PC that allows us to view the screen of the Blackberry and control it from the PC. With this we would be able to troubleshoot devices through remote desktop instead of having to walk a user through how to change settings over the phone.

That would be very nice...although I think such an app would be pretty slow if not done right...

Some of the differences in Operating Systems alone would warrant the need for this.

That's a good idea for accessing users' blackberries from a terminal. Would be a lot easier for IT.
