Ok so it's t-mobile only based on t-mobile's site, but I seem to recall reading *wink wink* that it would be on 2 providers. Could that other one be Nextel or ATTWS?

2 carriers - T-Mobile in North America and Vodafone in Europe.

If you notice in all the press reports they keep mentioning stuff like not having signed up a carrier in europe, clearly the 7100v is still under nda and bb_tech would have to be very stupid to answer that, but realistically they aren't going to be too far behind.

fully compatible with 4.0 when it comes out? i know they said in another thread that the 6710 (my current model) will have a scaled-down version of 4.0.

The tmobile site says is has Yahoo, AOL and ICQ chatting built-in - what are they using for this functionality?

As an email tool how would you rate it vs the 7000 series blackberry?

As a phone?

Which do you prefer?

The 7100T series may be called the 7190T, because of RIM's standard for suffixes. -30 suffix for the triband+900 and the -80 suffix for the triband+850, and finally -90 suffix for quadband.

Any plans for future releases on other carriers? I know you couldn't get specific but even a "no comment" could go far is dispelling rumor ;)

Default RE: 7100t

Can I use it it with BES for users that prefer this device over the 72xx series?

BB_Tech, you said ask away. Many have asked questions but very few answers from you.

Here is what I found out today.
The OS is 3.8.
It will work on existing BES and with 4.0. (not sure if all of 4.0 features will work)
I heard list was $249 with a $50 instant rebate.
T-Mobile is supposed to have stock on September 30.
It is quad band
32mb of memory
Does have a picture viewer so I'm assuming you can open image attachments.
4 hour talk time
3 days standby realistically.

Default Does the Bluetooth radio follow the handheld radio setting?

A lot of the questions asked so far can be answered by reading the User Guide

However, one thing that wasn't clear to me relates to the Bluetooth radio. Presuming it is turned on, does it turn off when the handheld radio is turned off? I'm trying to understand if there's effectively an "airplane mode" which turns off both radios at once, or if it's a two step process.

BTW, the User Guide refers to a number of features that I'm guessing are in 4.0. It's a good read!
