Are these themes designed for the 8500 device and the OS she's running?

I'm having the same problem, just got he 8520 and the themes aren't there. DL themes from the blackberry app world, one was the lightening one, the other was the sea storm and neither of the work. Only requirement for them to work according to the app, is that you use v4.5 or higer, which i have.

What gives?

Try a battery pull and look for them again.

No shit sherlock..........lol, instructions for that theme, as most apps do, indicate that you may have to reboot or pull the battery. Neither worked.

Well i figured it out on my own anyway, and maybe the mods can stickty this thread for the 8520 phones, or perhaps the latest OS versions, cause i seached and searched trying to find a solution to this problem, and it seems many people are having problems getting new apps and themes that theyve downloaded to show up or work for that matter, on this phone and/or apps/themes that require v4.5 or higher. Here's what i did and it finally worked.

After you've downloaded your app or theme and it doesn't show up anywhere, before you reboot or pull the battery try this:

options/advanced options/applications/click on the app/theme that you just DL/edit permissions and set connections, interactions, and user data to allow, and save. Reboot your phone, go back to themes, and it should now be there.

Hope that works for you guys.

First, watch your language. This is a family-friendly forum. Second, this is not a way to treat someone that volunteers their time to try to help you with an issue. If you had stated that you have tried that in your initial post, then we wouldn't have asked you to try it. You have no idea how many people don't try that when it fixes a lot of issues.

I suggest you watch your attitude and show some respect. Otherwise, I think you'll have a hard time finding help for your future problems. That is if you stick around long enough (if you don't change your attitude).

lol @ this guy^^^^, it was a joke you communist. I am also a volunteer as much as we are all pupils.

I suggest you lighten up and not take things so seriously. Judging by your post count someone needs to step away from the computer, or in that case perhaps your BB.

A joke doesn't explain the inappropriate language used on a family-friendly forum. Also, direct insults, like calling someone a communist, doesn't constitute as humor in my opinion.

Also, keep in mind, it's hard to pick up sarcasm through text.

Deener,

I suggest you keep your attitude and your language in check or you won't be here long. You agreed to the forum rules when you registered here.

I did If there are rules, then I'm going to abide by them because this is a great place to be, and the people are friendly. I've gotten excellent help many times from the great people that volunteer here.

It's like not reading the terms of service in your cell phone contract, you still signed that you acknowledged them.

If you didn't read them, that's your problem because you are required to follow them anyway.

Default Deener is my hero.

Deener - you are the man; while everybody else was sniping at you for what cannot seriously be deemed as offensive language (if it was really that bad, why don't they have a keyword lock on the forum??) you came through and delivered the solution.

So everyone else on here - go outside, on to your street and get a glimpse of reality.

Again, Deener, many thanks for your excellent advice.
