Default Bold Rollerball Sticking - HELP

Please Login to Remove!

The darn thing rolls perfectly, but when I press down it seems to connect, but freezes and doesn't accept the command. I end up having to press the enter key, rather than the rollerball pulling up the menu. It is very frustrating and time consuming!

Since the Bold's rollerball doesn't pop out as easily as the Curve, I was wondering if anyone had a solution.

Thank you!

Might be dirt or lint. Do you carry it in your pocket or in the case?

Turn the device off. Press and hold the roller ball ad roll in all directions for about a minute or so. Turn the device back on and see if it works better.

You can also press the ball and blow some canned air all around it.

And make sure you use the case, not your pocket!

I carry in my purse (and just finally bought a case this past weekend) but it started acting up yesterday before I put the case on it. I did all the above suggestions including canned air and taking out the battery too.

try cleaning the ball with an alcohol pad, just roll lightly in all directions, I have read that this has been successful

I used Windex and a piece of cloth to clean mine. It works wonders. :o)
