Question Listen to music via bluetooth on 9000

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

First post, neat site...

I have a Plantronics Explorer #210 ear plug blue-tooth. Is it possible to listen to the music I have stored on my model 9000?

Also, the ATT navigator takes forever to log in, is there any way to speed it up? I use it just about every day at my job.

Thank you
Greg B.

Why don't you just play the music and find out. I listen to music through my Bluetooth hands free all the time.

From the quick spec search i did, u cannot. It does not have the AD2P profile it needs to stream music. Only two Plantronics headsets can stream music. Plantronics Voyager 855 and the other one which i cant think of right now. Sorry.

Im in toronto, can so i don't have the answer to ur other question.

Welcome to the forum btw

Of course I turned on the music and nothing came over the bluetooth. Once when I was using the ATT navigator I did hear a couple of words but nothing since that.

I have the Voyager Pro. It sometimes plays music, sometimes not. I have a feeling the noise reduction technology is a bad combination for music.

Thanks to one and all for the help. Looks like I need to get a PLANTRONICS VOYAGER 855 STEREO BLUTOOTH HEADSET MP3 any where from $54 to $104 .. yikes.. which is out of my price range right now unless I could sell the Plantronic 210 I now have to someone that does not need the music compatibility. any suggestions from anyone?

Well if you are going to get a bluetooth headset to listen to music I recommend the motorola s9-HD. I have them and they are amazing.

Hi miamirulz29, I looked up the motororola s9 HD, it is some what cheaper in cost, thanks. does it also work with the phone part of the 9000? How much did you pay for yours? New question: Am I supposed to upgrade my blackberry 9000 once and a while with any downloads? I just turned it on and began using it about 6 months ago. From what I read here on this forum it looks like I should. Any suggestions? Thanks for the tip about the bluetooth. I am new to cell phones and this forum. just joined yesterday.

Default AT&T Navigator

Hi all,

My AT&T navigator takes like 3-4 minutes to Log in.. is that normal? I live in the Fort Lauderdale area where the phone service is pretty good all the time but it seems like the navigator takes an unusually long time to get going..
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Greg B.

I gave up on bluetooth streaming music..whenever I listen to music on bt it skips like an old cd player. Maybe because I live in LA or something.. I do walk around with it.. if you're not walking around it works pretty ok.

I use this headset too and it works wonders with nice sound. It's a bit on tight side and need to be adapted but overall does its job nicely

I just got my S9-HD last night and am using it today for the first time on my Bold 9000. It seems to work fine as a wireless headphone, but so far it TOTALLY sucks as a headset. Seems like no one can hear the mic. That being said, I got mine for $26 on eBay, so it's probably a cheap knockoff.

Thanks,
Greg B.

I live in Weston, Florida (~30min from downtown Ft.Laud) and mine actually loads in 45-60 sec, thats including the "logging in" and "loading". About a month ago i did receive an update for ATT Nav, and its faster than the previous version.

Running OS 5.0.0.464
