The beta version (single socket now, by the way), still has bugs so please bear this in mind.

I am not sure PDAapps wanted this to be posted publicly. I will have to ask them, to check...

Default Invalid jar error

When I purchased my bb 7290 I picked up VeriChat 1.96b and it works better than all of the other clients I tried/tested. My issue with it is that it continually logs me in and out of all the services every few minutes; It drives my desktop friends batty.

Now obviously I don't know if this is an issue with Verichat, or with Cingular, but neither can give me any direction on the issue it seems. I really hope this version fixes that problem.

I can hit the URL, but when I try to d/l it the thing gets about 75% finished and then gives me [Download Failed]; when I get the details it shows a "907 Invalid JAR" error. Oh heck.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry7520/4.0.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 UP.Browser/5.0.3.3 UP.Link/5.1.2.12)

I get to 100 percent and it gives me the invalid jar error

It only works after you uninstall any Desktop-installed versions of Verichat.

No, but might have been only for registered users... Not sure. It probably doesn't matter, but there's always the chance that they didn't want the info spread out just yet.

I emailed them a few weeks ago asking if they were working on a single socket version yet. They replied by sending me the beta. The past versions were a bit screwy on my 7100G. But the latest (2.16b) is working much better. Is this the version you have on that link?

Loads fine on my 7250, but won't connect to the server (connection timed out). 1.96b worked fine (excluding the known bugs).

I have a BES< tried with and without firce BES. Oh well.

I've been using the "beta" verichat and its working fine on my Nextel 7520. I installed it over my original purchased verichat app.

The "bots" are an interesting feature, will have to use them to see how functional.

I use my bb and YIM constantly so I'll report tomorrow on the idle/disconnect update part of this beta.
