Hi,
I have just bought a BB Bold 9000 it works fine but any number I put in the contacts list has the numbers 86 added and the 0 removed, can anyone tell me how to stop this.

What country code is set in the Smart Dialing Options?
Does that code match the country in which you are located?

Hi sorry bit of a nerd but I don't know how to find the smart dialing options, but as 86 is China and I'm in the UK I guess not. Thanks

To turn off the Smart Dialing feature on the BlackBerry smartphone, perform the following steps:

Try this

On the BlackBerry smartphone, open the phone application.
Display the menu and select Options.
Select Smart Dialing.
Set the Country Code field to Unknown.
Display the menu and select Save.
