Hey folks,

I'm looking for a car mount for my bb 9700, i had tried different universal solutions (like windshield mounts) but i really would like something stable - and with out "sucker". I have seen on couple websites car mount called FIX2CAR...Have any of you any experience with those holders? found youtube video as well, it shows nokia of some kind, but the holder looks quite nice, very simple... search for fix2car on youtube, or google "fix2car blackberry" (can't post links, since im new here)

I used their system for several Treo phones and BlackBerrys. It's a two-piece setup with a part that mounts on the car and another that holds the phone and connects to the piece that stays on the dashboard. You can change the part that holds the phone whenever you get a new phone because the dash mount has a universal attachment for all their phone holders.

Sturdy and secure mount for the dashboard, no squeaks or rattles, yet it can be removed with no permanent marking of the area where it attaches. The phone holder stays secure and doesn't droop or sag.

Nice part is the system is 2 parts; car specific bracket + phone specific 'clip'. either of the two is interchangable/replaceable.

I've had the system through 5 company cars now.

Thx for the reply - i have seen that some others on this forum talked about profclip mounts aswell. They look similar to this fix2car im thinking about - this weekend im going to visit couple of stores with accessories - hope to find one with both products so i can compare them. my friend got fix2car for his iphone 4 last week, it looks very good and fits the phone perfectly.


rambo47, this to part setup you are talking about - is it pre-mount to secure over the air-vent and screw on mount for the phone or ?

The way the first part mounts to the car varies for different car models. Some clip on an air vent, others slip between parts of the dashboard/console and click in place with a raised edge. Then the second part (that holds the phone) screws onto that first piece.

oh thank you, now i understand... like they show in the fix2car video on youtube. yes, that is very smart system, it would be a shame to screw the mount directly to the dash. :/

Got it! Yesterday it came with the mail, fix2car for my bb9700 - i oder it form online dealer, AND ITS really nice holder!!! it fits perfect has great finish... i had seen profclips holder when i visited my local acc.dealer... , they are fine - i had been told that profclip is bordid, or something like that... compared in between profclip and fix2car... i went with fix2car, cuz it felt more "well made" in my opinion - and maybe cuz it was danish produkt... and denmark has always been known for making great stuff, so... i´ll try to upload some pictures of my new mount installed soon.
