Default Can't load the Desktop Manager S/W on Vista Laptop

Please Login to Remove!

HELP.....I have a new 8330. I'm unable to load the Desktop Manger Software on to the laptop, my OS is Vista. It starts to load and gets to a point where it says the instalation was interupted and wants to exit. I've downloaded from both Verizon & Blackberrry's site....same thing.

Does anyone know if there is something that would stop the app from inatalling. I even disabled the virus program....

When installing on Vista, right click on the .exe file and select "Run As Administrator."

Already did....same thing. Gets "inturputed" according to the error message and thats it. Thanks for the reply.

Can you post the error message. I am running the Desktop Manager 4.6 on my Vista Machine.

Try to install it in compatibility mode for like XP or 2000. I have a few apps that fail during install and this is the work around that I use to install them.

How do you run in compatibility mode?

Click Start> Help and Support? then type "compatibility" in the search box.

right click on the EXE file then select the Compatibility Tab Then tick the box that says Run this program in compatibility mode for: then drop down the list for the version (IE. XP)

I am running Window2008 Server/Workstation and it installed fine on my computer. You may have some policy restrictions if that is a company pc.
