After chatting with an AT&T rep. they did not know of it yet they said, but that could be because they usually only have the premade responses that they use when you have a question. So i too am waiting for this feature hopefully it will be available soon.
Also the website for me did not have the feature available yet so only time will tell.

I'm waiting till this works to get the bold, but when it's out I'm gonna like VMs again, right now I hate them and it's internally the old user interface's fault.
not sure what ATT visual voicemail will look like but youmail.com has a great app that gives visual vm for free. i heard about it on one of the forums (i think the OS .247 forum), tried it and i have to say it's pretty good. i especially like the smart greeting that they have. when someone from your contacts calls they hear something like " hello [caller's name], [your name] isn't available, please leave a message"

For anyone counting on visual voice for the bold anytime soon dont hold your breath , talked to a family member back east who works for att will be not be supporting this feature anytime this year.
Google Voice will be available to all within weeks (according to google). I've been using it since the upgrade from GrandCentral and there was a recent review on cnet. The transcriptions are decent, you get the point of the majority of messages. It offers a lot more features.
If you're waiting for Visual Voice Mail, this free service is much better than just VVM especially if you're a gmail user as it integrates with your gmail account. If you have Verizon (which obviously doesn't apply to the Bold) you can get free unlimited calls using Google Voice with the Friends and Family plan.
My personal experience is that Youmail is HORRIBLE. I installed it and I hated it (took it off just as fast as I installed it), its not a simple integrated solution like VVM will be. On the other hand I'm awaiting Google voice because I use Gmail as my primary email account and the integration will work well. From what Google is saying this service might be a better option that VVM (if AT&T ever decides to support it).
I use Youmail and found it terrific! I have personalize greetings for different callers. The greatest thing is if you have your phone off or do not have service, you normally miss calls and they are not logged in your call log so you don't know who called you unless they leave a VM. With Youmail, it will email you or text (depending on how you set it up) the time and phone number of the caller.
I use Youmail and absolutely love it because it's the only thing available. I'm sure I will change to google voice when it is available as I use gmail and it will make my life easier to have everything in one location. Nevertheless, youmail is a great application!
