if i have a 9000 and i am at an airport or any free wifi access point will i be able to make calls for free?

long distance ?

if you have UMA on your account then yes... i believe so... as for the rogers one... and dont forget you have to have a rogers device to be able to use UMA, no other wifi enabled device will work with another carriers UMA...

basically

if the wifi hot spot is free, can i use it for free even if it is not rogers wifi?

Your Home Calling Zone service will work in your house where you have set up your Home Calling Zone router. It will also work on any open access wireless networks – this means it will work with your friends’ and family’s wireless networks (if they provide you with the security key) and on any public open access network (that does not require a login name and password) like at many airports and hotels

hmmm

not working like i thought it would....i already have free unlimited calling after 5pm...

i thought : find a wifi signal and ride for free on data and voice

i guess not

well for wifi, yes you can connect to the network and then surf for free without adding anything to your plan... BUT the UMA you have to pay for... its the same with tmo, they have UMA and they have to add an option onto there account to get it to work... because in the end it still has to go through the service provider... tho i think tmos options are cheaper and better...
