Re: Battery was perect a week ago, now it doesn't even last 3 hours?
Justabub, could be a lot of things, is the phone and battery new ? did you buy it second hand, on line ? did the battery completely discharge, shutting the phone off ?
If the phone is new I would contact the carrier you got it from (Verizon, Sprint, etc.) and see if there is a warranty replacement due for the defective battery.
If it is second hand, the battery might not be an OEM (Original Blackberry) battery. I once bought a new (supposedly OEM) battery on the cheep from China. It was just like the problems you are having, it started dying within 3-4 hrs after charging, I threw it in the trash 30 days after buying it.
If the battery has completely discharged during use, causing the phone to shut down, then the battery may be damaged. It will run hotter than it used to, and never take a full charge again. It will only last a very short time after charging, and have to be replaced.
At any rate, if you have to replace your battery you want to be sure you get an OEM original battery. If you buy online, stay away from cheep deals, overseas suppliers, and just because the ad says OEM doesn't make it so. Look for OEM batteries with warranties on them.
