Default Opera Mini and online banking

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys I just got my Opera Mini working. It is SO much better than the BB browser. I was wondering if anyone has figured how to login to US Bank. Whenever I type in my name and pass it just reloads the page, instead of logging in.

I CAN log into Suntrust online banking and everything works just fine.

I hope that somebody can figure out how to do this, I would really appreciate it!

Thanx guys - you rock

I just tried logging in to Wells Fargo using Opera Mini. It said they no longer support the browser I'm using.

I have been successful at getting the blackberry browser (not Opera mini) to work with Wells Fargo. I changed the Emulation Mode in Options --> Browser Configuration, to Microsoft IE and not Blackberry, and it seems to trick the website just fine.

Hope that works for you as well,

Brad

I'm not having any luck with logging on to chase.com with Opera or the BlackBerry Browser.

I DID IT! I did a google search for "us bank login" and took the first link which was an alternative login screen that worked! I can't believe it. Maybe the same trick will work with you guys too.

-I'm also posting this from my BB with mini. I love it.

Most of the online banking sites have some sort of browser filter running, which looks in the http headers for the browser type. I don't believe Opera mini has a "emulation" mode in which it sends up a header that pretends to be some other browser (e.g. IE or firefox). The blackberry browser does allow you to emulate another browser, and once you sent it to "IE", you should be able to get into just about all the banking sites.

Yeah that was one of the first things I tried... but it didn't work for me. I bet there is a way into almost anything. I'm going to see if I can get into chase today..

The logon search trick works for chase too! I just did it.. all you have to do is do a yahoo search for "chase logon" and follow the first link. It's not chase homepage, but a dedicated logon page that will let you in. It must be something about the homepages that aren't letting the BB's in.
