Default Silence/Mute/Ignore "Unknown Caller"

How can I use the profile manager on my 8800, or any other Blackberry, so as to ignore callers that block their phone numbers? I am getting a lot of these calls for some reason and I don't answer them. However, they haven't gone away yet and I don't want to change my number.

You can't block or ignore callers automatically on the BB, that feature is not available.

However, there is a third-party application called BerryBlocker which does the job. Use google for a search to find it.

You could put the numbers in you contacts and then assignee them Custom Phone Tune and set it to MUTE...

Raven, great idea, I was thinking the same thing until I re-read the OP that the calls are coming from blocked phone numbers, "so as to ignore callers that block their phone numbers".

I think there was a 3rd party program called BerryBlocker or something like that. Not sure if it has that functionality or not, but it would be worth the research.

Good luck.

And is there any application for BB which will allow to keep and use "white list" instead of "black list"?

The thing about this blocker program is it doesnt work and the support is zero. Look for it on handango and all the reviews are bad.

I tried it and it doesnt really block it just mutes the calls and they go to your voicemail. Most of the time it blocks/mutes ALL calls and thats why I stopped using it.
