I have a BB 8800 I use daily but also use a AT&T Tilt. I have a unlimited laptop plan so I pretty much just use the Tilt for data. I was running Blackberry Connect but battery life was bad, it slowed the device too much and the BB is just easier to use for phone/email. I rarely reset the Tilt and ran lots of third party software on it the BB could never run. The PIM (using Pocket Informant) was light years ahead of the BB.
Since our BB Admin has disabled the SD card, I use the Tilt for listening to podcasts, gps, music, google/wls (live search with voice is cool), etc. WM isn't all that bad.

if it was because of the ability to recieve, edit and send office docs, thats unfortunate.

4.3 comes with DocsToGo preinstalled

At our company we did it a little bit differently. They bought 6 of the original BBerries and did a 2 year trial. The rest of us had a smattering of every different cell phone you could think of along with 30 different plans.

We use Lotus Notes for e-mail client along with Cisco Systems VPN.

We (21 Sales Guys - Canada wide), all now have 8830's and the system works flawlessly. This is the only way to go in my opinion.

Awesome tool and a significant time saver.!!

going to a WMD is mind boggling at best..!! (WTF..??)

Stk

I came from a WM 5 device and am now on a Blackberry. To me, while the editing of documents on the go is good, and the 3p apps are well ahead it doesn't make up for the slowness, crashes with email you'll get in comparison the the BB. WM just doesn't handle email with as much efficiency. Sounds like your company's taking a backward step. It might make someone look good in the short term but it's unlikely to make life any easier for you. Good luck!

I'm guessing that if your version of Bricked It were in the dictionary, the definition would read something like this:

Bricked It - BRICTit - English derivation - meaning: when an electronic device becomes unusable and is worth as much as a plain brick. Alternate: When Zachberry drops his WMD into a mud puddle, stomps on it, installs every windows virus possible, overloads the memory, unscrews every screw, spits in it, then screws it back together, then gouges the case with an exacto, then tries to turn it on in the pouring rain, and when it won't turn on at all, it's now been Bricked.

Well, no. In much the same way that getting hit in the head with a baseball bat is better than getting hit in the head with a lead pipe...

My 2 cents is that WMD sucks! BB is the way of life and always will be!
