You call it an All-in-One Messenger but it does not include Skype, you sell Skype separately. Can you explain this?

On the buddy list, it still doesnt show when someone has went idle. Of course it shows when they put their away message up. But for someone that might be idle for the past hour, it still shows them as active. Then of course when you go to message them, only then will you find out that they have in fact been idle.

Is this something that will be updated as well? Its kind of annoying and one of the reasons I really like using JiveTalk and I'm not trying to compare but mainly point out this issue.

Easily, it is an all in one "IM" messaging program, not a phone program.

There are some technical problems with implementing Skype messaging in IM+.
We are going to do it later.

Default Some questions from our development team

We would like to receive more feedback from beta-testers about new
functionality.

1. Press&Hold.
You can press and hold trackwheel or trackball in Services, Contacts
or Dialog screen and see list of opened dialogs and quickly switch between them.
Is it convenient?

2. Active notifications.
You can press on pop-up notification and quickly jump into chat.
Do you like this feature?

3. Online alerts & Personal online alerts.
Have you figured out how to configure online alerts and personal
online alerts?
Do you need personal online alerts.

4. Fast scroll to unread messages.
When you scroll up your contact list, you will go to unread messages
first. It allows to open and read this message quickly.
Is it convenient?
Maybe, this feature should be optional?
Or should we get rid of it?

5. Missed event list
Is is convenient? Is it intuitive?
What other events would you like to be displayed in this list?

6. Contact list filter
What about this feature? Do you like it?

I see that you can customize your auto-away message to whatever you want. Is there any way to customize your normal away message to say something besides "I'm Away right now. Connected from mobile with IM+"?
Just seems odd that it can set a custom for auto-away, but not a custom for manual away...

You can set away message for all services (except AIM and ICQ) selecting "Change global status" from the menu.

I've only noticed it with AIM, but thats what I'm usually logged into only. It does not show people that are idle though.

Default BETA UPDATE to 5.0.2

Beta version is updated to 5.0.2.

Here is a link:
SHAPE Services - IM+ for BlackBerry RIM devices :: BlackBerry :: Products

OTA download location:
wap.shapeservices.com

In new beta version

1) some small bugs are fixed
2) connectivity is improved. We recommend everybody who has connectivity problems to restart autoconfigurator after update (from Settings / Connection)
3) Notifications adjustment is changed. We believe new "Notifications" section to be more convenient.

Default So far, so good

Using it with AOL, Yahoo, and MSN and no problems so far after three days, like the new UI a lot.

I have quite a list of comments as usual:

1. Press &Hold: nice thing to have, though. I would like to be able to change my status when I press and hold. Letxxx8217;s say I am in the services menu, and I want to appear busy in MSN, so I focus on MSN, press and hold the track wheal and boom!!!, I get the change status window.

2. Active notifications: Again, very nice feature, adding that it is from IM+ would be good.

3. Online Alerts. Cool and useful

4. Fast Scroll to unread messages. Hmmm. Is it possible to scroll up along the contact list when the envelope up at the top is highlighted?

5. Missed event list. Would like to have a notification, maybe in this list, maybe somewhere else that the service got disconnected somehow.

I also have the Pearl and GoogleTalk works just fine with version 5.0.2. You never said what problems your having or if you tried the "test" account to see if that worked.

Are you adding "@gmail.com" to your user ID ? Mine did not work before I added that.

I wanted to say that version 5.0.2 stays connected much better than version 4 did. Its been 2 days in a row now that I have not been disconnected.

I still get the "Yahoo id/password" issue though but AIM, GT and MySpace IM have been very solid.
