Default Needs Help With New Bb 8100

Please Login to Remove!

I received a BB 8100, which has been unlocked to Fido network. I have a pay & talk account and cannot use the following:
  • Email
  • BB Messenger
  • Internet
  • MMS
  • Map
  • Bluetooth
I'd like to use some of these options without an agreement. Can someone help me out, please???

I think Bluetooth is the only one of the above that you might be able to use on the device.
All of the rest will require a data plan subscription.

with my previous phone i had access to internet, is there any way i could at least use the internet?

You may be able to use Opera Mini. It's a 3rd party browser.

Unfortunately not. The only other way is to use wifi, which the 8100 doesn't have.

You can browse the internet without a blackberry data plan for sure using 3rd party browsers ie opera, bolt etc. You must have had some kinda data plan on the other phone to do this - unless it was pay as you go browsing? Kinda hard on the pocket though! But you're carrier should provide you with a data plan that will allow internet access. The only thing with the 3rd party browsers is you don't get some functionality like being able to download stuff OTA ...
