I saw that too. Why did they leave it out? Is the 8330 CDMA only? It sounds like GSM is the way to go on this. Us poor SOBs on Verizon don't have it.

Have you tried to load slingmobile onto an 8330 without success?
I have a Storm and may switch to an 8330 if the latter is slingmobile-friendly.

Just installed it on my 8900...works great. The wifi works perfectly and the screen looks great. Over edge it would buffer every few seconds. I changed the options around and was able to stream uninterrupted on edge. The picture quality was reduced but it was still very watchable. So far slingplayer works great on the new curve.

Over wifi, this is a pretty good program. On EDGE, I also generally go to "Listen" mode.

However, one good feature is the audio picks up where it left off so you can keep up with the audio. Still gets choppy but the content still plays in full.

One thing I don't like is if you go to App switcher it interrupts rather than continuing in the background. It would be great if the audio could continue while you read email.

Been using Slingplayer on my Bold since I got it a couple of weeks ago. Much better than on any Windows Mobile device I've had...and I've had a lot!!! Had a slingbox for 2 years or so.

The main thing it's missing is more control over data rate. With WinMo you can customise to control data useage. On the Bold it's normal or high quality that's all.

i have dishnetwork, thinking of getting a slingbox solo, question...

the dishnetwork box goes into sleep mode after some period of time, can the sling still acess live tv via a 8900 with the dish box in sleep mode?

also

dish favorites come prepacked...all channels, all subs, all hd and then u can make your own, question is do you have to leave it on all sub to get access to channels that may not be on a customized channel list that you may create?

also

is it best to use cat5(hardwire) the sling to your router as opposed to a wireless connection(i am assuming a gaming adapter or something??)

thanks in advance

jim
