It has been quiet, almost too quiet since we heard anything last about the Skype app that is supposed to be coming to BlackBerry users on the Verizon network. Luckily, today anyone that failed to get the first leaked beta version may get a chance to install a working version.

The last beta version of Skype did not load properly on all BlackBerry devices. This newer version is said to work on all models. We haven't yet tested it and are unsure if it does in fact work properly.

Newer version? The date on all the files is March of 2009. Makes me a bit nervous.

i cudnt figure out how to install .jad or .cod files :S

once you download the files, save them all to your sd card under "skype" on your blackberry, then in media click menu and select "explore" from there select the media card and open the "skype" folder then select the file that has .jad and it will download.

oe problem is that it does not work with the blackberry torch 9800

I just posted them on my HTTP server and linked to the .jad file.

You need a touch screen to make it work properly. I was able to get in by hitting some random buttons then decided it wasnt refined enough for my Bold.
