OK I did everything that is supposed to be done. I have the 8330 Verizon iz my carrier and followed all directions on the sticky everyone puts in responces. However when I get the Temporaraly unavailable I go to settings and it will NOT let me check share location with facebook. I have the data plan that runs it but for some reason the phone or FB will not allow me to run this.

Is this a carrier issue? or am I missing a small setting somewhere?

I have the gps on location, and used it this morning for directions so I know the GPS is functioning.

Please help, and as I said the directions were followed for tons of time so the sticky isnt helping.

It's a carrier and a phone issue. The Verizon 8330 does not have unlocked GPS, unless you are using a bluetooth GPS unit. An OS upgrade will not help, either. Blame it on Big Red and how they used to lock down their devices to only use with VZW products such as their horrible VZ-Navigator. The 8330 uses Assisted GPS with non-Verizon products so your mileage will vary with GPS applications.

I used to own one of these units. An inexpensive Bluetooth GPS unit solved all of my problems, until I upgraded my device.
