Also, it wants me to install .NET 3.5. I already have this installed, but it won't let me skip this step, and if I proceed, it will never finish the download. 2MBs at 1.2MB/s should download in two seconds, right? It doesn't even download in a minute, and seems to be confused as to its progress (so basically, not working at all).

EDIT Another try of the installer and it skipped that step, but it now throws an Error 1500 (another install is already in progress) at me, when I have checked the task manager for duplicate processes and found none...

EDIT 2 Got past that step, and now Error 1719. Maybe RIM should stop using stupid tools like MSI, this is really taking the mickey.

I can't get past the first step, because it uses crappy Windows Installer which just throws Error 1719 at me. Surely if they can make an OS, they can write their own installer?

I'm running Windows XP SP3 at the moment, and I do have MSI installed already.

I got past that Error 1719. Last error I got was a 1704 about .NET v2 (why is it trying to install .NET 2 right after trying to install .NET 3.5? I already have both installed anyway), but that went away just by allowing it to Undo the changes...

Oh my word. Just as I thought it was working, it hasn't done anything.
