Default How about the battery life

Please Login to Remove!

I see some users share on the Web about battery life being "impressive"
But I am not completely sure about it...

What do u think?

It depends on the user, how you use it, what you use it for, where you are, etc. No two users are alike so you really can't go by what most say.

My 9800 gets great battery life, 2 days sometime, but generally a day and a half. But then I don't surf that much. Get a lot of email, talk some. WiFi always on. I close out apps that I use rather than exit out which saves battery.

there is a FAQ article on how to maximize battery life. Check it out as it has some good tips.

Yeah . . . . Many factors have impact on battery life.

But I never want to run my battery down flat, so the question of how many days one gets from the battery still baffles me.

I always put the blackberry on the charger at night. I want to start the day with a full battery and be able to go all day with heavy use if necessary and not have to worry, and still have battery life left in case of emergency in the evening. And I have gotten that with all the blackberrys I've used.

I keep mine topped up during the day. Not so over the weekend, unless it gets low.

The battery "experts" do not recommend allowing these Lithium-ion batteries to go below 20% and I think the newer BBs shut off at around 10%.

Bottom line I guess for the OP is blackberry is top in the class for battery life and efficient power usage. But there are things the user can do if not wise that will run the battery down very quickly.
