Wirelessly posted (at&t BlackBerry Bold 9000)

My wife had it and used it for about 2 days. It's pure junk.

The Palm OS sucks, headset volume was near impossible to hear, the keypad nearlt has to be used with a pencil, it wouldn't play any of her ringtones, and several other things.

I would definitely try to talk any and everyone out of buying the Palm Centro piece of crap.

But that's just mine/her opinion.

and I agree with that opinion. Palms are horrible to troubleshoot!

Palm was an awesome platform up until about the Treo 650. Then things got crazy. Too many features piled on an ancient OS, and the results was instability. It was never designed for all the stuff that eventually made it into Garnett.

The Palm Pre with WebOS might have some promise, but they have a lot to prove still.

I used to have a Palm Centro and its one of my most favorite phones. I now own a BlackBerry Bold btw. But the Centro was a good phone...I loved the touch screen. I had one of the coolest Centros ever ! Looked it up on YouTube and found some cool things I could do with it...it played all the ringtones I needed. The sound was great too. There was nothing I disliked about it...buttt I love my Bold more. :p

I was considering getting a Centro, but the keyboard was much to small and I didn't like the OS.

WebOS is the future of Palm. The Centro uses Garnett, an old and decrepit OS that's about 8 years past it's time. And the Centro keyboard is a nightmare. It will be interesting to see what device Palm follows the Pre with, and if they improve the keyboard over the Pre's. Lord, I hope so!

In the mean time, if you want to try an older Palm OS device, look for a Treo 680. That was the most stable of all the Treos I ever owned. If Windows Mobile is more your thing, the Treo 750 might suit you.

I had it just as of recently...i had it for a week. At first i liked it, only because i was new to it. Then i realized how it wasnt for me. It is a good pda that is compacted...it is so compacted that the keyboard is a challenge to type on. and some times you can use your fingers to touch the screen and sometimes you cant that it does require you to use that tiny flimsey stylis to open what you are opening. after a week I returned it. I traded it in for a BB curve. That is what i should of got, since i had the pearl a couple of years ago, which i liked.

I dont like the fact that it does seem slower and it is hell to type.

that reminds me, palm pre has a very short battery life from what i am reading.

so does the palm centro. I had to charge up my phone 2 times a day sometimes. That is crazy to me.

That is what did it for me besides the other complaints that I gave out was the battery life on it. it sucks.
