Default Problem with Facebook Application, Please Help

Please Login to Remove!

I've just downloaded the application for facebook which was on the facebook site, but everytime I try to access through this app it always states:

Could not connect because a data service is not available. Please try again later. If this continues, contact your service provider for support.

This has been the same message for days now, I can access the website via my web browser, but never with this app, can anyone help?

You need a BLACKBERRY DATA PLAN.
Do you have this?

Since you also do not seem to know what a carrier is, it is the person you pay for the services to make your phone ring. Without them you cannot call, text, or surf. I suggest you update your profile with who that is so others may assist you.

They are the ones you need to talk to about adding a BLACKBERRY data plan.

Thanks for the replys.

The carrier must be vodafone then.

I can browse the internet and call etc, but for some reason I cannot access the facebook application nor the windows messenger, always says:

"Data Services Unavailable"

or

"Could not connect because a data service is not available. Please try again later. If this continues, contact your service provider for support"

I can browse using the web browser and access facebook and other websites fine, but the apps just don't seem to be working..

Any suggestions?

Contact your service provider (Vodafone) and have them verify that your account has been provisioned with a BlackBerry data plan. If you do not have a BlackBerry SPECIFIC data plan, any BlackBerry apps will not work. Period.

Understood, I will contact them tomorrow.

Does anyone know how much they charge for data plans in the UK?

Wow that's quite expensive, so this data plan if just to get the apps to work? Do you get unlimited internet access for it aswell?

Its around £5 a month for a blackberry data plan, and yes, with vodafone, it should include internet.
