I start off with about 30, then drop down to 15 depending on usage.

This is really app dependent. Viigo, Bloomberg and Appworld suck away a lot of RAM (I wish they all let you flush everything out) and sometimes you gert some back and other times you don't.

I would use quickpull and schedule a reboot every night if I could, but my IT policy forces the phone to automatically lock so that is not an option.

Well considering it eats memory, can take forever to load pages...
there is no real advantage in it considering all apps can be found by googling anyway.

app world really needs to be developed a bit more so you can have a category for FREE apps only or able to filter/sort by price or stars.

+1 Midnightdraven. Everything on app world can be found quickly with a google search. There is no need to download it. When I had my T-Mobile 8900 Javelin, after installing app world, my boot up time increased by 200%, no joke. Unreal.

I hate the AppUSA, AppCanada and AppUK concept that RIM has instituted, its definitely not AppWorld. I have about 30MB after a battery pull and it settles at 20MB.

Wirelessly posted (It's all about Fuschia!)

So in a nutshell AppWorld is a pointless feature that eats memory? hell I don't want it, ever then!!

Glad to hear that, I guess I can do without it then. And besides, we have been doing quite fine without it all these years so, we will manage still without it

exactly!
if it was better developed it might be of more use.
but as it only has half the available apps out there, for example non of the 2 major/3 major twitter apps can be found there (twitterberry, ubertwitter yatca)
is much easier to google for what you want, or even use BB forums own BBappsstore!

I couldn't agree more. It's a sluggish app with no real significance other than Blackberry being able to say they have an "app" app.

Not only does it eat memory. In my experience it made my load times MUCH MUCH longer.

Wirelessly posted (JarrodBold)

I have about 15-18 apps on my phone. From full apps to just little ones like beyond160.

My memory is 28 after fresh battery pull and 13-16 after a the day ends.

I'm glad we had this app"world" talk, now I won't bother to fuss about not being allowed to install it.

Haha yeah, you wont be disappointed. Just look in the aftermarket software forum, or google search. There is nothing offered in Appworld that isnt offered elsewhere.

Wirelessly posted (Bold)

Everytime I download an app I end up just deleting it. The app eats too much memory or it just does not work the way I hoped it would. The BB browser and BBwap are the two most used app for me. My Bold came with Docs to Go so I'm all good.

I think I'm really memory snob, can't stand to lose on a app I would rarely use. By the way I'm down to 44 megs after downloading Skyscape.
