Default The Continual Sucker Punch by AT&T

First AT&T Wireless, my sorry wireless provider with horribly spotty service, sent me a bad 8310. They then replaced it another bad 8310. They then told me to save on shipping time by getting it replaced at my local Device Support Center where the 'helpful' rep erased all the info off my phone and gave it back to me as if it were a different one [the IMEI number was the same]. I complained and was told to email the CEO but he never responded as I'd just renewed my contract in getting the phone in the first place. I'm too cheap, at least right now, to break my contract and go with Verizon.

But if any of you are looking to get your first BB and trying to decide what provider to use, allow my experience to help lead the way - to a company that actually cares about their customers.

Happy hunting.

Wirelessly posted (overwhelmingly stressed)

Did you get refurbished equipment or brand new? How long ago did you get it? If under 30 days you can leave without penalty!

Wirelessly posted (curv 8310)

Like anything in this world you have to deal with people. I've been with at&t for 8 years and I haven't had any problems. People have bad days. Sorry for your problems but not all at&t people stink. I hope you have better luck soon.

AT&T has been pretty good to me thus far.. the reps haven't exactly been "knowledgeable" at all.. but they at least knew the web sites to point me to.

It was refurbished and I'm about 60 days in on the new contract now.

Maybe give them a second chance or try a different store. I have been with AT&T for several years (corporate and personal) and compared to my other experiences have had pretty good luck. Customer service pretty much sucks everywhere you go now so it's all about perspective. Good luck.

@dc/dc: Rants & Raves is a good idea.
@ndub33: Carrier Specific issues too. I do have a data plan. You lost me on the battery thing. Of course, since my original post at the end of last week, the phone now has memory issues [freezes a lot] even though I've added no new apps.
@Korbendallas: this will be the third try [2nd replacement phone, which apparently arrived today].
