The problem is, the software used is illegal to distribute. So, this can't really be passed around as public knowledge.

I used a different VSM file, that's why I got a different screen.

Is there a list of what each VSM file is for (i.e. device, carrier, etc..)??

I see. I can get that screen if I want (which I did earlier), but frankly I have no use for it or the Help! screen.

Unfortunately, I can't divulge my methodology. It is a legal issue as you've apparently been told before.

Unfortunately I cannot share it by any form of communication, including PM. In fact, the PM feature is disabled on my account.

And yes, we do everything legally as far as you know.

I've seen the "Preferred Network List" mentioned in the .pdf user's guide for Mobile Network but it's not on the TMobile devices. I wonder if I'd get that option if my device was "de-branded."

The option is available on my Bold and my 8707g, however, I thought it was also available on my T-Mobile branded 8320. I could be mistaken though.

My understanding is that it can be disabled by the carrier depending on the SIM. ATT for example disallows it on their network and while roaming in Canada.

the "My Preferred Network List."

Ive done some more research and apparently, it's tied to the sim. Some sims allow it, and some don't. It would be nice to have it, in my case as I roam a lot locally and when I get back into town and onto Tmobile it doesn't switch back to TMobile.
