The advantage I see is getting it right away damn it.
I am not patient. That is why I have a BlackBerry!
I have one line eligible for an upgrade but he likes not being in contract and his phone is about 18 months old. He may actually need to use his upgrade at some point ... I could add a line but then what will I tell my mom when I promised her she could pick out her brand new phone in three weeks when her and my sister port over from Qwest? Sorry, mom, I'm a selfish brat and you can't pick out your phone? Yeah, I had a rep in an at&t store suggest I screw my mom out of the first chance to pick out a cell phone and her first new cell phone in 3 years. I'm 30 and I would rather pay full price than do that to my mom.
My second line, hubby, is due in May (because I stole his upgrade last year, damn it) and my fourth line isn't due until September 2009.
What I can't figure out is how at&t let me use an upgrade in June 2007 to get the Curve (silver from June 07 to Jan 08, red one since January) then last November let me upgrade again. But NOW that it's been a year and I should be allowed to upgrade they won't let me.
Sorry, just had to get that off my chest.
OK. So I just called a local corp store and it sounds like they're going to work with me. I will go get my Bold tomorrow morning because that's when they will start selling them.
