called a few around here and only 2 said they hope to get their shipment in the next few hours and if they do, they will sell it. Not sure anymore now that ATT might be trying to stop them from selling today. Others said no we won't sell til tomorrow even if we get them. I guess waiting another 20 hours to get it really won't make a difference so I should just get back to work.

The advantage I see is getting it right away damn it.

I am not patient. That is why I have a BlackBerry!

I have one line eligible for an upgrade but he likes not being in contract and his phone is about 18 months old. He may actually need to use his upgrade at some point ... I could add a line but then what will I tell my mom when I promised her she could pick out her brand new phone in three weeks when her and my sister port over from Qwest? Sorry, mom, I'm a selfish brat and you can't pick out your phone? Yeah, I had a rep in an at&t store suggest I screw my mom out of the first chance to pick out a cell phone and her first new cell phone in 3 years. I'm 30 and I would rather pay full price than do that to my mom.

My second line, hubby, is due in May (because I stole his upgrade last year, damn it) and my fourth line isn't due until September 2009.

What I can't figure out is how at&t let me use an upgrade in June 2007 to get the Curve (silver from June 07 to Jan 08, red one since January) then last November let me upgrade again. But NOW that it's been a year and I should be allowed to upgrade they won't let me.

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest.

OK. So I just called a local corp store and it sounds like they're going to work with me. I will go get my Bold tomorrow morning because that's when they will start selling them.

I got mine at the Pasadena Corp Store on Colorado Blvd. Might want to give them a buzz about it and see if they have any in stock. FYI, the rep that helped me said the store employees can't buy any or hold them till after a week, so keep in mind, their stock is all for the taking!

Hope you get one, and wish you good luck!

Was in a mall in NJ looking for the demo unit I thought they'd have on display. As I was there, at least two others came in looking for the Bold. The demo was behind the counter and they were told they'd have to wait until tomorrow.

I just got one this morning in Plymouth, MN. It was from an authorized reseller and they were charging $200 w/2 year contract. My old contract was purchased at a corporate location 8 months ago. Normally I stay away from resellers but this time it worked out in my favor.

They called in an upgrade exemption (I suppose to nab the commission on the contract) for $75.

Total costs out the door were $300 for the phone, $75 for the exemption plus taxes. I still get the $100 MIR so final cost is $275 with a 2 year re-up. Can't complain at all!

I heard you had to prove you voted for Obama to get the phone tomorrow with the full discount. But you won't get the tax rebate he promised if you get the phone. If you vote for McCain you get no rebate, but you can get a job at any ATT store. What do you think I should do? It sounds like I'm screwed either way.

I got mine today at a corp store in Tulsa, OK. I got a new sales rep who slipped up and said they had them in. However, another guy said they couldn't sell until tomorrow. The new rep went to the back and asked his manager, manager came back out and said he would sell to me. I'm happy so far, but price is a little steep.

I just talked to them (ATT Barrett Parkway) and they confirmed they did not get their shipment today. They said no need to be there at 9:00 and suggested waiting until after 11:00.
