The most I have seen on my on my Bold has been 56 MB. Those days are gone though. More memory is a bad thing, it quickly gets used!

so i wouldn't say its a mem leak as you use the browser. keep going to pages when you have 9.5 mb free and see how low it goes... or go to the browser options and clear cache, history, cookies, etc and see mem then.
I wish that was it but it isn't. I made a habit of clearing cache, cookies and history while I was testing for the sources of memory loss and it made almost no difference. The browser consumes memory faster than any other app and won't return it without a restart. But the browser's not the only thing. I lose memory during the day just making/receiving phone calls and checking emails.

This SW has multiple holes in it. By removing all unused language support and sample media I have got my free mem over 50MB just following a reboot. That usually gives two days before I have to reboot again so long as I don't do too much browsing.

Regards,

Carl

Fresh installation yesterday with OS 4.6.0.147. Didn't use the browser until testing tonight. Went to a forum (not this one), which is heavy on .NET code. I was able to login and view the forum main page. When I clicked into a thread, the 'hourglass' and constant lock ups. Within 30 seconds, my memory went from 31MB to 28MB. After another 2 minutes (of being unable to do anything), it dropped to 22MB. Also, during this time, I lost my Wi-Fi connection on the device.

Sounds like a step backwards from .134

Niiiice...

@jibi - What is the most stable 4.6 code you have tested. I know that question is subjective... But I'll take your anecdotal obsrvations.
Cheers.
