Does anybody know whether the applications that come standard in OS packages come out separately for free? See, I've already screwed something up the first time I tried updating my OS and my blackberry was dead and I had to downgrade it before it could turn on again. I spent about 36 hours trying different things with it and upon coming a successful OS, I just marked 'english' as the only ap that I needed. It would be great if I didn't have to reboot my OS again and just get those applications elsewhere. Can anyone help?

What free applications are you specifically referring to?

If you are talking about Documents to Go, it requires that version 4.5 be installed on the device. Once that is done, you can download Documents to Go from DataViz's website for free and install it.

I wanted the Blackberry and Windows Live Messenger as well as Tasks and Memo pad. It was available in OS 4.2 but I can't find it anywhere where it would be offered separately and free.

Tasks and Memo pad shouldn't be affected. That's like a standard PDA/smartphone feature.

Well I think I had to check the box when I was installing the 4.2 OS and I didn't to save time and just to see if it will succeed. All I really cared about at that point was getting my blackberry loaded up. What happened was that I tried updating the OS on my bb to 4.5 and it died on me. That's why I won't be able to get Documents to Go. Now, I'm a little sketched out about trying getting new OS's installed :(

in all OS versions that have taks and memo, it has to be checked for it to install... same with blackberry messenger

as for live messenger you can dl that and install it
install appworld and you can get it from there
