Hi Everyone

Just joined as have my 1st ever Blackberry.

Its a Blackberry Curve 8310 on T-Mobile and I have been texting a 88886 number to request further information on a golf offer (basically its a text to email service, text the keyword 'golf' to 88886 and receive a catalogue via email).

I text the keyword 'golf' to 88886 and that worked, got a text back saying 'reply with just your email address' so I did and then the message failed saying:

"Sorry, you cannot text to numbers beginning with 08 (+44). This is an invalid number range"


Any ideas what this could be or what i can try? It sounds like a setting in the hpone which tries to put a 0 in place when i text an 8?

It obviously worked the 1st time but when i try and reply it comes up with the error message?

Did your reply come from "88886" or something different? Have you tried composing a fresh message to 88886 versus replying to the message? It sounds like something with the dialing rules where (+44) is the country code.
